School has Started for Everyone

It is hard to beleive it is that time of year ... again! Shawna had to start back to work last Friday and today the kids had to go off to school. So we put them to bed early, we all got up early, and off they went.

J.T. started the fourth grade today. His teacher is new to the school district but from another county in Mississippi (remember, the kids attend school in Tennessee) and a member of one of the congregations in our county.

Kaylee started the second grade today. She was excited and scared all in one little package. Unfortunately, we did not make the goal of having her back on her feet by the time school started. Due to the lengthening of the time in her cast and the fact that her doctor does not want her to begin therapy for another week or two, we sent her off to school in her wheelchair. The fellow students and teachers are always good to work with her.

Shawna, as mentioned in a previous post, is back in kindergarten (teaching, that is). She has been working some long days trying to get set up but we hope to be back in the routine of things before long. She will do a good job.

As the school uniform policy is still in place, picking out clothes this morning was easy to do.
