Canoeing

Over the weekend, we have not been blogging. There is a reason: we been camping and canoeing. Friday evening, we went to Greer, Misouri and set up camp, cooked dinner, and relaxed. It was very late when Grampy and Uncle Chris showed up to spend the night with us. We sat around the fire and told stories about our lives. We went to bed late and then got up early. Grampy cooked breakfast and we broke camp in less than 10 minutes! That's right, less than 10 minutes. We were to meet a group from Springfield at the canoe rental place and they called and said they were ten minutes away. So off we went.

On the canoe trip, we went through rapids, got our canoes flipped (Grampy and Jeremy on accident, Uncle Chris and J.T. not so much), cooked and ate hot dogs, and swam.

We came to a water spring. The water was COLD! The middle was so deep, my Dad could not stand up in it and he is tall. My Dad, my uncle, a kid named Clayton, and I traved another way out of the spring. It was tough. There were slippery rocks, deep sand (Uncle Chris's shoe got stuck in it), and we had to swim accross a giant hole. It was cold, but fun.

The trip back home was long because we were so tired.

Sorry we do not have any pictures. We hope to get some from some people who took cameras. We almost bought a waterproof disposable camera for the trip but didn't. We should have.

It is great to be a part of the family of N.
