And This One, Too...

A Post for No Real Reason....Well There is a Reason...Read On!

I was recently criticized for not posting very much any more. I don't really understand it but here is an additional post to answer the call.

SASHA, THIS IS FOR YOU!

On the Decoration Front...

For several years, Shawna has been collecting spoons. She has close to 40 of them but did not have a good way to display them.

Enter Father-in-Law.

While we were at my folks recently, Dad and I built these shelves. Okay, Dad did most of the work and I stood around just like when I was growing up!

They turned out real well, don't you think?

J.T.'s Bible Lesson

One of the neat things which happened (at least for us) at Horizons this year is that J.T. got to present his first Bible lesson. It is about two minutes and I asked if he woudl do it again here at home so that we could record it. He agreed and did a good job.

A Great Week

Last night, we finished up our gospel meeting and a really good week. Here is a picture of our guest speaker, Allen, and his son who also came with him, Daniel.
J.T. invited Daniel to the house to play one day. They wanted to pose goofy so here is it is.
I asked for a serious pose and this is what I got.
They played the Wii a good long time and so they posed for that as well.
It was a great encouraging week.

Horizons 2009

It has been a great week at Horizons 2009. We got to learn more about our Wonderful, Merciful Savior. Here is a sampling of pics from the week. If you want to view more pics, then visit my Facebook page.

Here is the group of guys who went with the Ashland group. I was thier counselor.

From left to right on they are, Dustin, J.T., Dylan, and Nickolas.
Here is Sasha and her old roommate, Ms. Pepto Bismol (Melissa) by the biggest beach ball in the world!
Here is a pic of Ben, our old college friend. Good to see you, bro!
Kaylee insisted we get a pic of Becca. She loves her so and Becca is about the sweetest person in the world.
I am posing here being snooty with a stick. Does it become me?
Here is our mascot, the lion.
Brandi did not want me taking her picture but I did it anyway!
Alex was at Horizons. I have been knowing him for a very long time and was able to really creep him out during the week. It was so much fun!
Ashely and I have something in common. We have both been attending Horizons for six years now.
J.T. invited his cousin, Nickolas this year. Aren't they the best dressed guys in this pic? Stanley, Nickolas insisted on standing in front of the Honda truck saying you would not like it if they stood in front of the Ford. You can be proud. He tried to find a Chevy!
Here are three long-time Horizons staff guys: Webb, Jerry, and John.
As with last year, we got to see Katelyn. It was good to see her.
Here are Nickolas and J.T. by the biggest beach ball ever. This beach ball has a name: Grande Pelota.
Shawna and Kaylee came and saw us one night this week.
Kaylee has a friend, Ms. Belinda, whom she gets to see quite often. She got to see her the night they came up to visit us. The boys asked me to pose with my favorite pool toy so here I am.

It was a great week. A lot of fun. And a time to learn more about God.

We are already looking forward to Horizons 2010: Directions.
