Family Pics
Every year, usually in April (we are running late this year), we take family pics. Here is a sampling of what we did this year.

Fuunny Name Tag
Yesterday, I was at a youth rally in a nearby town and we were each given a nametag. On mine, I wrote J.T. up in the corner very small. It looked kinda like the symbol for mathmatical pie. I do not like math that much, so I went back and got a different nametag. I wrote on it...
No joke.
"I'm single ladies, line up."
No joke.

We are Decorating!
So, as most of you know, we bought a house and have been slowly moving in and getting settled over the last month or so. We got all of our stuff from the other house moved over rather quickly and then I moved all the junk out of our storage shed last weekend. We are slowly moving it into the house and getting settled. This weekend, we spent a lot of time docorating the walls. So, here are some pictures of the work. This first one is toward our front door. We hung some abstact art by the door.
Here is our dining room. You can see wall decorations and some of the docorations we put on top of the cabinets in the kitchen. Also, you can see the glass-covered blinds we bought for the back door. We really like them.
One wall in the dining room, is our wall of pictures which includes our digital picture frame. It turned out real well, don't you think? I had a hard time getting a good view of this wall as the dining room chandelier kept getting in the way. Here are several views of it. Hopefully, you can get the idea.

Here is another one of the back door with the glass-covered blinds.
The hallway to the kid's rooms and the community bathroom is our hallway of western photos. The ladies in my family like to get them at major family events and we got some with the kids on one vacation. There was no good view to get them all in one photo. So, enjoy!

We did not do a lot in the living room as we are waiting on a new couch and loveseat we ordered. We figure their placement will affect everything. Here is some artwork we hung that my sister did several years ago. Also, I still have to set up the surround sound in the living room. That will be another project for another weekend. Shawna probably will not be happy that I got her in this picture.
Here is another view.
Here are some more direct views of the abstract art I mentioned earlier.

Here are some views of the decorations we put above our kitchen cabinets.

It is so nice to have this computer workstation back. It has been in storage for about a year now. I had to cut down the counter top and we put this in the master bedroom. The room was plently big enough. The wall decorations on this wall go with the 'office' idea of the workstation.
We do not have a headboard on our bed so this is the wall at the head of our bed. The center piece is a 'Marriage Blessing' cross-stitch my mother did when we got married. The pictures around it are pictures different family members.

Here is another wall in our bedroom. The shelves contain Shawna's souvenir spoon collection. They go well with the windows and mirror, don't you think?
I hung this iron and ironing board hanger in the untility room. J.T. just had to be in the picture.
Finally, I hung my flag collection in the garage. What do you think? Again, J.T. just had to be in the picture.

My sister has plans to remodel Kay's room and paint and give window treatment to J.T.'s room in about a month or so. Therefore, we did not do anything to their rooms. We will wait until she gets done. Well, I hung a hook for J.T. to hang his belts on but that really does not count, does it?
It is really starting to feel like home. We are truly thankful the Lord has blessed us with a house.
