Glad to be Back Together

It has been a busy, exciting two weeks for The Family of N. We were out of blog world last week due to Dad being out of town (more on that in a bit). Before that, we will go back two weeks and catch the blog world up on the happenings in the family.

Two weeks ago, Dad and I went to babysit a three-year-old boy and twin 11-month old girls (they have since crossed one year). It was a lot of fun and we called my aunt who is pregnant with twins to let her know they have their work cut out for them! It was enjoyable and I hope to get to do it again soon. The rest of the week was busy as Mom had to go to another city twice in one week. Bubba had been busy with the youth group and I (Kaylee) have been to GAP (Girls Applying Prayer) several times. Things are busy but they are fun.

At the end of the first week, Dad and Bubba prepared and left town for Dad's speaking engagement. Dad will now talk of his trip out of town.

We left the morning of last Saturday and stopped to eat at IHOP. We then got on the plane and headed to another city. We had a layover and the counts were not right on the second plane which caused a 30-minute delay in take off. We still landed only four minutes late! We ate at a chicken place our host knew about and visited a memorial before going to the home of our host. The next day, we worshipped and relaxed in the afternoon. Then, JT and I spent the week attending the lectureship and had a very enjoyable time. My father and brother-in-law spoke and we got to spend time with several old friends. We flew out Friday and landed in a nearby city and waited for our shuttle to our vehicle for 30 minutes before we realized we had to call them to come get us. We called and then stopped by our favorite restaurant before we reunited with the family. We had a great week but are glad to be back with the family.

We will keep you posted.

HEY!

Hey everybody! We have had a great week at the family of N! In our usual style, we will go through the family members, one by one. In the words we borrow from One Direction - this is The Story of my Life!

So, my dad had a good week. He went in on Monday and defended his BIG paper. He got everyone to approve his work. He has a few more hoops to jump through but is officially, Dr. Dad. (Though, he does not like it when Bubba and I call him that!) I am going to do it anyway!

Mom, on the other hand, has not finished her paper but is getting close. I understand why because she has a lot on her plate. As soon as things slow down, she will be on it. She is half way done with going to another city to teach this semester. She keeps the house in order. Things are good. She, as is her style, finds joy in everyone else's good news.

JT got his permit this week. (#Scary!) Mom and I are very scared but Dad is dealing with it very well. He drove with Mom and Dad a little bit this past week. Sooner later, he will be driving me places, like the mall! JT and I both went to a retreat this weekend. It was a lot of fun. I got to see him some. (#Saddness) I had one class with him. He did not talk as much as he usually does in class. That is not a bad thing. But it is also not a bad thing that he talks a lot.

I have had a pretty good week. The rain makes it hard for me to be as mobile as I like but it has been okay. I had a great time at the retreat and got to hang out with boys. (#goodforme, #badfordad) Don't worry Dad, I hung out with girls some of the time, but not lot. I got to see some friends from distant places. It was a good weekend!

See you next week, blog world.

Awesome Week!

So, we have never been to a particular nearby state and we opted to go over the recent holiday weekend. We had a blast. It was crowded because we took one of JT's friends with us but we had a blast!

We got to louge around the house yesterday and had a good time. We spent most of the day playing video games and relaxing. It was a good day. We went out to eat and Kaylee saw one of her friends so she are with her. She said it was fun!

Life is starting to get into a routine for the family of N. Shawna and her school year is in full force. The kids finished up half the term for the first quarter. They are doing well and are working hard. Jeremy is working hard at work and on his paper. His is coming along well and Shawna's is too.

We are blessed, richly blessed!
