What Goes Around Comes Around

On most days, the routine works like this: Shawna and the kids go to school and I go to the office. When Shawna and the kids come home, they stop by the office and see me for a minute. Usually, the kids will go and play and Shawna and I will end up talking for a while. Today was no different. The kids went into the auditorium and Shawna and I stayed in my office. When she went to leave, we went to find the kids. They were playing 'church.' J.T. was leading "As the Dear Panteth for the Water." He even had the tune down pretty well. I did not get to the camera in time to get a picture so I asked them to pose for this one. Kaylee is on the front pew on the right side. JT has only the podium lights on which is why it is so dark.

The next thing we knew, J.T. was telling us that he wants to be a preacher. I encouraged him to be an elder too.

Being a preacher's kid, I vividly remember doing the same thing with my sisters while growing up. Of course, at the time, I never imagined watching my kids do the same thing. I guess what goes around comes around.

I loved playing church as a kid. Sometimes we would have to substitute orange juice for the grape juice if we were out. We thought it was okay as long as we had crackers. : )
